Semarang International Church is being planted to see God’s kingdom take root in Semarang as it is in heaven. We will be a Christ-centered, Spirit-empowered church made up of people from many backgrounds, formed into one family through Jesus.
Our heart will be to be a church where faith is lived out in everyday life—not just on Sundays. We believe the gospel brings real life and real transformation, restoring hearts, renewing families, and bringing hope to our city. As we follow Jesus together, we will seek to see His life flow into every area of our community, impacting individuals, couples, families, and those who are single.
Semarang International Church will be more than a gathering—it will be a growing community shaped by three core values. We will Live Sent, understanding that every believer is called to represent Jesus in everyday life. We will Form Disciples, helping people grow into mature followers of Christ through Scripture, community, and the work of the Holy Spirit. And we will Bring Life, believing that God’s presence brings renewal, healing, and transformation to individuals, families, and our city. Whether you are new to faith, returning to church, or searching for a place to belong, our prayer is that you will encounter Jesus, find genuine community, and discover the purpose God has for your life as we seek God’s kingdom together in Semarang.

OUR VALUES

BELIEFS
As a part of the GSJA (Gereja Sidang Jemaat-Jemaat Allah) we believe:
The Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God; the only absolute and authoritative rule for human faith and conduct.
God is One, eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
A. is truly divine.
B. was born of a virgin.
C. lived a sinless life.
D. performed miracles.
E. redeemed sinful humanity through His death.
F. rose bodily from the dead.
G. ascended into heaven and is glorified at the right hand of God the Father.
H. will come again to the earth in power and glory to reign in the Millennial Kingdom.
Through the transgression of one man (Adam), sin entered the world, and death through sin; thus death came to all people, because all have sinned.
Forgiveness and cleansing from sin are obtained only through repentance and faith in the cleansing power of the blood of Christ.
The regeneration accomplished by the Holy Spirit is absolutely necessary for a person’s salvation.
The redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing for the human body through prayer and faith.
Sanctification is accomplished by the Holy Spirit who dwells in believers.
The baptism in the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is granted to believers who ask God for it.
The rapture of the Church at the time of Christ’s coming in the clouds is the blessed hope of believers.
There will be a bodily resurrection of both believers and unbelievers: the former to receive eternal life, and the latter to receive eternal punishment.
As a part of the universal church we affirm the Apostle’s Creed:
The Apostle’s Creed
I believe in God,
the Father almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried;
he descended into hell;
on the third day he rose again from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty;
from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.
