PASTORS JORDAN AND MICHELLE

Jordan and Michelle Wright are the founding pastors of Semarang International Church. They first moved to Indonesia in 2022, beginning their journey in Salatiga to learn Bahasa Indonesia and immerse themselves in the local culture. What started as a step of obedience quickly grew into a deep love for the people, language, and everyday life of Indonesia.

Before moving overseas, Jordan and Michelle served on staff at a church in North Texas, where they gained valuable pastoral and ministry experience. Both hold bachelor’s degrees from Nelson University, and Jordan also earned a Master’s degree from Fuller Theological Seminary. Together, they are credentialed ministers with the Assemblies of God USA, and Jordan is an ordained minister.

From the very first visit to Semarang, Jordan and Michelle felt a clear sense that this city was special. They fell in love with its people, its pace of life, and its potential, and they carry a deep burden to see lives transformed by the gospel here. Their heart is to build a church family that reflects God’s kingdom—rooted in Scripture, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and committed to loving Semarang as home.
